The famous wave of Praia da Rocha, in Portimão, after being news around the world, will once again be the reason for an event with surfers of great international level.
Praia de Rocha will host the 3rd stage of the Algarve Surf Circuit 2014, on the 1st and 2nd of March. This event is organized by Playsurf and Yacht Clube Marina de Portimão.
This Circuit has been mobilizing a number of practitioners across the country. Competition is planned in the U12, U14, U16, Open, Women's Open and LongBoard categories.
The stage has the institutional support of the Portuguese Surfing Federation, Portimão Municipality and Portimão Parish Council, and the finalist awards will be offered by Secret Spot Surf Shop, Central Skate Shop, Guys and Dolls, Komunity and Ocean Beach Surfboards Design . Pizzeria L'Angolo in Alvor will provide lunch for the staff.
This year's novelty will be the night of socializing with athletes and friends at the Sports Bar Café in Alvor, on Saturday night, March 1st, with live music, awards ceremony, filming of the day and other surprises.
Visiting surfers can stay at Clube Praia da Rocha, partner of the accommodation event, which offers special conditions.
Registration will be open until the 27th of February and must be sent to the e-mail [email protected]. Registration for the race costs 15 euros.
