Four people were arrested early this Friday for heroin trafficking and illegal possession of a weapon, in an operation carried out by the GNR of Albufeira. The three men and the woman were surprised at 5:30 am in a vehicle parked in the Ataboeira area (IC1 junction – Albufeira), during a surveillance action in an area related to drug trafficking.
«After the necessary safety conditions had been created, the vehicle was searched, a passenger light, which resulted in the seizure of a firearm (6.35 caliber pistol that was hidden inside the vehicle) and of a narcotic product sufficient to 2625 individual doses of heroin,” revealed the GNR.
During the search, a kilo of cut product and the car where the suspects were found were also apprehended.
The detainees, aged between 26 and 30 years and residing in Quarteira and Amadora, were present yesterday at the Judicial Court of the District of Albufeira, for the application of the coercive measures found to be convenient.
