Three students from Loulé Secondary School, accompanied by a teacher, will represent Portugal at the event «Your Europe, your voice», which takes place in Brussels between 26 and 28 March. To better prepare for the trip to the Belgian capital, the Loulé teaching establishment received, this Thursday, Carlos Alberto Martins, one of the Portuguese members of the European Economic and Social Committee (CESE), a consultative body of the European Union.

During his visit to Loulé Secondary School, Carlos Alberto Pereira Martins, member of the CESE's Group III (Various Interests), president of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Professional Orders (CNOP) and member of the Economic and Social Council of Portugal, met. he joined the students to help them prepare for the event, answered their questions and introduced them to the life and functioning of the EESC in general.

'Your Europe, your voice', organized for the fifth year in a row, is a simulation of the work of EESC members, with the participation of students from 28 schools selected from the applications of 700 schools from the 28 Member States. EU members: one school for each Member State.

At this extraordinary meeting, a hundred students representing Europe's youth will hold debates and negotiations, with the aim of reaching a consensus on the most important priorities for young people, in view of the European elections in May 2014. Students will also be able to dialogue with the President of the EESC and senior officials of the European Union.
