The lack of materials and medication in the Basic Emergency Services of Albufeira, Loulé and Vila Real de Santo António, denounced this Monday by the newspaper «Correio da Manhã», has already been corrected «through the distribution and acquisition of these materials», he guarantees the Board of Directors of the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve, in a statement.
The malfunction of the X-Ray equipment at the SUB in Vila Real de Santo António will also have been resolved.
ARS Algarve adds that it has taken steps "to immediately and internally assess the current procedures in this matter, reassessing the risks of material failures and the repetition of these situations in the future".
The Board of Directors of ARS Algarve also announced that it had decided to "initiate an internal investigation process with a view to ascertaining the truth of the facts" reported by the newspaper.
