Classical music will be in focus on November 16, at 21 pm, at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, in Silves, at the «Night of Opera in Silves».
This is a show in a gala format promoted by the Ideias do Levante association in partnership with the local authority, where Portuguese opera singers will interpret excerpts from the works of several well-known composers.
Soprano Carla Pontes and bass-baritone Francisco Brazão will join pianist Cristiana Silva and suggest some well-known areas to the public. The first part of this opera gala will be dedicated to Mozart's operas "Le Nozze di Figaro" and "Don Giovanni". In the second part, excerpts from operas by Verdi, Puccini, Gounod, Wagner and Offenbach will be interpreted.
Tickets to attend the gala cost 8 euros for the general public and 5 euros for children under 18 and over 60, as well as for Ideias do Levante members. Interested parties can purchase them at the Castle of Silves, at the Municipal Museum of Archeology, at the Municipal Swimming Pools. On the same day, at the ticket office at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório.
This is an initiative carried out under the program of musical productions for 2013 of the cultural association of Lagoa.
