The duo consisting of organist Nuno Alexandrino and trumpeter Paulo Margaça will "close in great" the Organ Festival of Faro of 2013, next Saturday. The last concert of this edition of the festival takes place on Saturday, at 21 pm, at Igreja do Carmo, in Faro.

After four concerts with soloists playing the historical organs of the Cathedral and the Igreja do Carmo, one for every Saturday in November, the event closes with the fusion of two very different musical instruments, one of the assets that were introduced by the organization some time ago. a few years and that have served to increase interest around the festival.

Nuno Alexandrino has a degree in Organ from the Lisbon Superior School of Music. He studied at the Utrecht School of Arts (Netherlands) and is currently attending a Masters in Music Performance in Organ at the University of Aveiro. He has played both solo and with choirs and orchestras and solo musicians throughout the country and abroad. He is currently professor of Organ at the Conservatory of Music in Viseu.

Paulo Margaça is a graduate of the Trumpet Course. He has performed several times in public with various orchestras and national wind ensembles. He is the conductor of the Resurrection Philharmonic of Mira and the Gafanhense Philharmonic. He is element and Artistic Director of the group “Ria Brass Jazz Quintet”. Performs teaching duties at the Conservatory of Music of Aveiro.

The concert has an entry donation of 2 euros, to be fully reverted to the Association for the Protection of the Girl and the Family of Faro.

The event is organized by Associação Cultural Música XXI and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and has the support of the Municipality of Faro and the Hotel Faro.
