The Organ Festival of Faro continues next Saturday, November 23, at Igreja do Carmo, at 21 pm, with a concert by David Paccetti Correia. The Portuguese musician is currently the manager of the Historical Organs of Santarém, artistic director of the Cycle of Organ in the same city and titular organist of the Cathedral of Santarém.
The concert, like the others that make up this festival, which has a concert on each Saturday of this month of November, will have a solidary aspect. The 2 euros charged at the entrance, reverts in full to the Association for the Protection of Girls and the Family, of Faro.
David Paccetti Correia was a student at the Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa. He graduated as Superior Professor of Organ by the Superior Conservatory of Zaragoza, a student of José Luis González Uriol. He graduated in Music from the University of Évora, under the supervision of João Vaz.
In 1995, he received the Portuguese Musical Youth in Organ award. As organist, he performed in Portugal, Spain and Austria.
The Organ Festival of Faro is organized by the Associação Cultural Música XXI and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and has the support of the Municipality of Faro and the Hotel Faro.
