A Christmas Solidarity Concert, as part of the Arte Nata fair, with the Ideias do Levante Choir (Lagoa), will take place on Sunday, December 15, at 17 pm, at the Igreja Matriz in Ferragudo, organized by the Ideas of the Levant – Lagoa Cultural Association.
The Ideias do Levante Choir was founded in 1996, starting to present itself as one of the poles of Ideias do Levante – Associação Cultural de Lagoa.
Initially under the direction of conductor Ricardo Carvalho, it was in January 1998, under the artistic direction of José Carlos Bago d'Uva, that the group began to work on the basis of a renewed concept of “pedagogy of choral singing”.
The group has already worked with illustrious artists/trainings (orchesters, jazz bands, choirs, pianists and opera singers) and has been, since November 2003, directed by artistic director Francisco Brazão.
This show is recommended for people over 6 years old and will take place in a room with a maximum capacity of 200 seats.
There are no tickets or reservations, and the entrance to this show will be made (preferably) through the donation of a food item, to help the “Mão Amiga” group, in the development of its work, helping the most disadvantaged/needed.
