Lagos will be featured on Porto Canal on November 9th. It will be on that day that this TV channel will broadcast the episode of the program «Destino Algarve» dedicated to Lagos.
It will be one of 16 special programs being broadcast on weekends on that TV channel, in a partnership between Porto Canal and the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA).
Until January 2014, the «Algarve Destination» program will promote the tourist offer of the 16 municipalities in the region to the public in the north of the country.
Porto Canal, as a recognized channel in the Greater Metropolitan Area of Porto, has specialized programming in communication with its main reference audience: the public in the North.
Thus, natural or gastronomic attractions, festivals, traditions and the historical heritage of the Algarve's municipalities are the theme of these 25-minute programmes, broadcast on weekends by Porto Canal.
The initiative, by RTA, intends, according to Desidério Silva, president of that entity, “to dynamize the domestic market outside the high summer season”.
The municipality of Lagos will be highlighted on Saturday, November 9th, from 12:30 pm, on the various national platforms for the distribution of audiovisual content via cable broadcast by Porto Canal. Episodes are aired on Saturday, repeating on Sunday and Wednesday.
The filming in Lagos had the logistical support of the City Council and several private partners in the municipality.
