Promoting a closer look at the Cerro de S. Miguel and the Ria Formosa, striking elements of the landscape of the Eastern Algarve and, particularly, of the municipality of Olhão, is the theme of the conference “From Cerro à Ria Formosa”, to be held next year November 15, at Casa João Lúcio, in Olhão.
This initiative is a joint organization of the Algarve Regional Section of Portuguese Association of Landscape Architects and the City Council of Olhão.
The history, geology, landscape, land use planning of Cerro de S.Miguel will be addressed by various specialists throughout the conference.
The program ends with a guided visit to Cerro de S. Miguel, whose main element of the landscape, the Ria Formosa, at its feet.
