A route of good ideas

In times of crisis, people with ideas are needed, who are not afraid to get down to work to counteract this vile sadness in which we are immersed.

This is what the young Teia d'Impulsos association has been doing in Portimão, with Rota do Petisco, an initiative that is now in its third edition and which continues to prove to be a real success.

The formula is simple: it joins quality restaurants and patisseries in certain areas of the city of Portimão and in neighboring towns (Alvor, Praia da Rocha and even Ferragudo), which, for a few weeks and until October 13, offer a snack or a sweet, accompanied by a drink, for an almost symbolic price (2,5 euros for the appetizer, 2 euros for the candy).

For the appetizers, walking through the center of the towns involved, there is a route to discover these tapas, from place to place, on a tour of the appetizers that encourage socializing and entertainment…in addition to fostering business.

A few days ago I walked, with a group of friends, walking a part of the route and the general opinion that I gathered from the owners of the spaces that make up the initiative is that this Petisco Route, in addition to serving to animate restaurants in the low season , serves above all to make known the restaurants, patisseries and tapas houses that, otherwise, would remain more or less removed from the public eye.

For me, this year I have already discovered a number of places where I ate well and was well received and where I want to return later, to taste what they offer in addition to the snacks on the route.

Rota do Petisco, which runs every day until October 13th, also has an entertainment program, which includes everything from music, to gatherings, courses and wine tasting, to help with the party.

It is, therefore, a good excuse to visit Portimão, Praia da Rocha, Alvor and Ferragudo, with a group of friends, for a few moments well spent between a tasty tapa and a glass of wine.

For more details, just visit to the Rota do Petisco website. Or go, for example, to Casa Inglesa, on the riverside of Portimão, taste what is on offer there and ask for the Rota passport, which contains all the details of the initiative.

Finally, here is a recommendation: don't miss this opportunity to have fun and to support a good idea in practice!
