Ten Italian students from the city of Potenza are going to intern at seven institutions in the Algarve, under an international reception program that is organized, in Portugal, by Tertúlia Algarvia. The students, accompanied by two teachers, are already in the region and will stay until the next 21st.

The institutions that will host these short-term internships are the Pousada da Juventude de Faro, Hostel Casa d'Alagoa, CCMAR – Centro de Ciências do Mar do Algarve, Centro de Ciência Viva, Pura Gula – Cake Designers, Inpokulis, the Municipal Museum of Faro and the Algarve Regional Museum.

"Over these two weeks, young people will be able to perform various tasks, most of which are related to the areas of tourism and culture, such as serving the public, participating in guided group visits or organizing events, among others." revealed to Tertúlia Algarvia.

The students who are already doing internships come from two educational establishments in Potenza, namely the Liceo Scientifico «Pasolini» and the other one from the Istituto Superiore «G. Peano» Marsico Nuovo. They arrive in the Algarve through the Tertúlia Algarvia association, which in addition to being a space for the dissemination of Algarve gastronomy and culture, open for just over a week, operates in many other areas.

This initiative is part of the program “Study Tour 2013 – Percorsi formativi di mobilità', sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Government of the Province of Potenza, with the support of the European Social Fund of the Region of Basilicata, aiming to provide secondary school finalists in this region from southern Italy his first professional experience abroad.

As in the past year, around 100 students are covered who, in addition to Portugal, will carry out internships in Romania, Germany, Austria, Spain, Belgium, Greece and Russia.
