The municipal company TaviraVerde started the second phase of the contract for the domestic wastewater network, at Sítio da Sinagoga, in Santo Estêvão, as well as at Sítio do Bernardinheiro.
The intervention at Sítio da Sinagoga was awarded in August for the value of approximately 235 thousand euros and it is estimated that it will be completed within 180 days.
This provides for the improvement of 130 houses, with the final destination being the Almargem das Águas do Algarve Interceptor System. The works include the construction of collectors, domiciliary discharge extensions located near the limits of the houses, as well as a pumping station, in Ribeiro de Coutinho.
During the course of this month, Manuel António & Jorge Almeida – Construções SA was awarded the contract for the construction of a wastewater drainage network at Sítio de Bernardinheiro, Lugar da Sinagoga, for the value of approximately 335 euros. of the EM 544 (parish of Santiago), of the ER 125 and EM 1345 (parish of Luz) interconnected with the Interceptor System in “alta”, managed by the company Águas do Algarve.
With the construction of these infrastructures, for a period of 180 days, the municipal company TaviraVerde aims to provide the population covered with the possibility of integrated service in a single public service, thus contributing to the improvement of their quality of life and the environment.
Both operations are supported by the Thematic Operational Plan for the Enhancement of the Territory, through the QREN in 85%.
