Feeling of «half victory». This is how José Pedro Caçorino describes the electoral result in Portimão, which placed the Servir Portimão coalition as the second most voted force in the county, behind the PS.

“On the one hand, we won 2700 votes, taking into account the last candidacy supported by the CDS-PP, but on the other hand, there is a bitter feeling for not having managed to make the PS lose another councilor. It would have another meaning. We are satisfied, but it fell short of our goals," he told the Sul Informação.

During the campaign, José Pedro Caçorino said he is not available for a post-electoral agreement, a position he maintains. “Our position is not to make an agreement for the exercise of the mandate. If we are invited to take on some responsibility, we will not accept. We are available, yes, to dialogue at all times, about projects that are good for the city. We are ready to dialogue on a case-by-case basis».

However, José Pedro Caçorino does not believe that the other political forces that elected councilor in Portimão have the same attitude. "I think that Isilda Gomes will have no difficulty in finding a force to form a coalition, be it the PSD, the BE, or the CDU, which presented candidacies without regional proposals, based only on the country's national situation," he criticized.

For the leader of the Servir Portimão coalition, a scenario without coalitions would be the most beneficial for the city, as it would provide a climate of «democracy and debate between political forces».

José Pedro Caçorino also guarantees that in the term of Isilda Gomes his list will be the true "opposition leader".
