Micail Isidoro (Louletano/Dunas Douradas) was 9th in the third stage of the Volta a Portugal by bicycle, between Trofa a Fafe, in a distance of 165,8 kilometres, which was won by the Spaniard Delio Fernandez (OFM Quinta da Lixa). Swiss Marcel Wiss (IAM Cycling) kept the yellow jersey in the lead.

Delio Fernandez finished the stage in 4:25.44 hours, beating his teammate and compatriot Alejandro Marque, 2nd, and Frenchman Fabien Schmidt (Sojasun), 3rd, in the sprint.

Of the other Algarve team, Banco BIC/Carmim, from Tavira, the best in the run was Henrique Casimiro, in 24th.

For his part, Micail Isidoro is also the best Algarvian in General, where he occupies 19th place.

The Volta a Portugal continues this Sunday, with the completion of the fourth stage, between Arouca and Alto da Senhora da Graça (181,4 kilometers), one of the mythical stages of the race.
