Praia Grande de Ferragudo is preparing to receive once again the best national football athletes, tomorrow and Sunday, 10 and 11 August.

In the final competition of the 8th edition of the National Footvolley Championship, 12 teams and 24 athletes, from north to south of the country, will be involved in the arena during the two days of competition.

Among the confirmed presences, the national champions in title stand out. Nelson Pereira and Miguel Pinheiro, the vice-champions, Pedro Salvador and Tiago Melo, the experienced and valuable duos made up of Bruno Xavier and Alexandre Oliveira (Xande), Miguel Pita and Carlos Baptista (Calita) and Carlos Batista and Christophe Ebongue (Bonga), as well as of several young values ​​of the sport.

With the teams divided into four distinct groups, in accordance with the national ranking of the sport, the games are scheduled to start at 14:00 on Saturday, August 10, with the Group Stage, in a total of 12 games to qualify for the first eight finalists.

Then, at around 17:45 pm, the quarter-finals will take place, four games that will last until around 20:15 pm, with all the certainty of a constant spectacle and entertainment, but above all a lot of struggle and sweat in search of the four places that will give access to the semi-finals.

With the 2013 national title already on the horizon, the afternoon of Sunday 11 August will open at 15 pm with the first game of the semi-finals, followed by another game of the respective Elimination Round.

Once the winners and losers are known and before the last and awaited moment of the afternoon, the last place on the podium will be discussed.

Very close to 17:30 pm, the most awaited and coveted moment not only for the public and lovers of the sport, but especially for the athletes in competition, the Final of the 2013 edition of the National Championship, and consequent national title.

In addition to the final victory and prestige at stake, athletes also have the opportunity to guarantee a total prize‐money in cash prizes worth 1.200 euros.

For the 3rd year in a row, the village of Ferragudo, in the municipality of Lagoa, one of the places used to the great moments of footvolley, receives the outcome of the main national competition of the sport, and in the month of August a large audience is expected with all the certainty will completely exhaust the race venue.

The event and its most decisive moments will be covered live and can be followed exclusively through the television channel A Bola TV (position 12 of Meo).

Organized by the National Football Federation, the event will have as its main supporting entities, the Municipality of Lagoa, Ferragudo Parish Council, Gelados Kalise, Benecar, Tsunami, Smart | StarSul and A Bola newspaper.
