The signing of the Letter of Quality Commitment to the Restoration of the municipality of Monchique and the presentation of the Annual Gastronomic Agenda of Monchique – Gastronomic Tourism are the highlights of the XVI Ham Fair and the II Medronho de Monchique Festival, which start today in that town algarvian mountain range.
The inauguration is scheduled for this Friday, at 18:30 pm, with the presence of the regional director of Agriculture and the president of the Chamber Rui André.
The signing of the Letter of Commitment is scheduled for Saturday, the 20th, at 17:30 pm, with the presence of the president of Algarve Tourism, Desidério Silva.
In addition to the possibility of tasting and purchasing ham, traditional sausages and medronho, visitors will also be able to delight in other offers present in the 44 exhibitors in the “serração” area of S. Sebastião.
There will be a lot of music and entertainment throughout these three days. Thus, this evening the Group of Accordionists “As Mil e Uma Noites do Accordeão” performs, on Saturday the Némanus take the stage and on Sunday it will be SantaMaria's turn.
