The “Rios de Adrenalina” project helped to fill the free time of 22 young people from Portimo, with recreational and sporting activities that lasted four weeks. During this period, participants in this year's edition of the initiative «laughed, learned to sail, cried, joked, shouted, dived, but above all “They went to a better future”», revealed the organization.

For the second consecutive year, the association Teia D'Impulsos and its project «Vela Solidária» were the partners of the Parish Council of Portimão to develop the “Rios de Adrenalina” project.

"The period of summer school holidays often causes increased concerns for parents, family members and institutions that have the guardianship of minors, who lack special education, who are referenced for the most diverse reasons or for which social responses are low" , framed the association from Portimo.

The Parish Council of Portimão, aware of this temporal gap in the training of these young people, has been trying for some years to promote social integration and promote sports and civic training for these young people, using the «Rios de Adrenalina».

This project promotes social integration, intercultural relations, cognitive development and equal opportunities based on sporting activities, namely through the practice of sailing.

The Vela Solidária project, making use of the experience acquired over the last three years and the qualification of its technicians, guarantees the performance of activities and the achievement of the aforementioned objectives.

"This is a partnership with excellent results achieved but in which the process is extremely intense and sometimes difficult to manage, particularly with regard to interpersonal relationships, the ability to deal with failure and the will of these young people to overcome themselves", he concluded the Web of Impulses.
