The launch dinner for Carlos Silva e Sousa's candidacy for the Albufeira City Council, by the PSD, was moved to the city's Sports Pavilion, due to the «huge demand for tickets», announced the campaign director. Dinner is scheduled for tomorrow, July 4th, at 20:00.
«Initially aimed at the Espaço Multiusos in Albufeira, the dinner was sized for 700 people. After being circulated at the opening of the Campaign Headquarters, tickets sold out last Thursday, which led the campaign organization to consider several possibilities. In view of the growing number of requests, the option fell to the Sports Pavilion, which will be prepared to receive around a thousand people».
Paulo Dias, campaign director, says that "we will be very careful to protect this equipment, namely by applying a linoleum floor that allows us to occupy the game area", also making an appeal to all present to "pass the message so that no one is left out».
The dinner will be attended by Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who will be one of the speakers, and who «certainly will not fail to comment on the current political situation», says the campaign by Carlos Silva e Sousa.
The candidate will also be present, as well as José Carlos Rolo, current mayor, Desidério Silva, campaign representative, Ana Mendonça, president of JSD Albufeira, and Luís Gomes, president of PSD Algarve, who will also be speakers.
The event will also feature the performance of Filipa Sousa, Mandate for Youth, who will interpret the campaign anthem “Albufeira Primeiro”.
Carlos Silva e Sousa (PSD), current president of the Municipal Assembly of Albufeira, deputy for the Algarve and lawyer, will face in the next Municipal Councils Fernando Anastacio, lawyer and businessman, head of the list for the PS, and still Suzel Martins Pepper, head of School Administration services, for the CDU.
