The association's headquarters Faro 1540 welcomes today, Tuesday, Rogério Bacalhau, the candidate of the coalition «Together for Faro» (PSD/CDS/MPT/PPM/MIM) to the Chamber of Faro, in a new clarification session with the candidates for president of the municipality of Faro in the municipal elections of next September. The conversation starts at 21:30 pm.
After last week having had the presence of CDU candidate António Mendonça, the Association for the Defense and Promotion of the Environmental and Cultural Heritage of Faro it now provides all Faroese citizens who so wish a more direct contact with the one who is, since today, the new mayor of Faro.
«These sessions, which arise within the scope of the “Cities for Recovery” movement, of which the “FARO 1540" is part and is a strong driver, they undergo a presentation by the candidates of their main ideas, projects and ambitions for Faro and its priority policies for the municipality, followed by a period of intervention by the public, who will have the opportunity to question candidates about important aspects and of special relevance for Faro», framed the Faro 1540.
Those unable to attend will be able to choose between different supports, to find out what happened in these sessions. At the Sul Informação, which is a partner in the initiative, will be able to count on a summary of what the different candidates said. The debates will also be broadcast in deferred, in full, on RUA FM (audio) and on Jornal de Faro (video) on the Thursday following each session.
After Rogério Bacalhau, it will be the turn of the socialist Paulo Neves to participate in the session of Faro 1540. On July 16, the guest is the independent candidate, for the «Save Faro» José Vitorino. The 23rd of July is reserved for «candidates that will still emerge», namely the personality that the Left Bloc chooses to head the candidacy that has already been announced.
