Docapesca will be at the Algarve Genuíno fair, in Portimão Arena, to promote some of the species traditionally fished in Algarve waters. Between Friday and Monday (June 10th holiday), daily “showcookings” will be promoted, with snapper from Sagres, horse mackerel from Portimão and octopus from Quarteira, between 19 pm and 20 pm, at the company's stand.

This event, organized by the Confraria dos Enófilos e Gastronomica do Algarve, in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve and the Municipality of Portimão, will bring together a representative showcase of genuinely Algarve products: handicrafts, sweets, gastronomy and wines , with the objective of raising awareness in the internal and external consumption of high quality regional products.

«It is in this context that Docapesca inserts its participation, in articulation with the Producers' Organizations, Shipowners' Associations in the region and the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School, which will present innovative ways of making these three highly relevant fish species for the fishing communities of this region», defined Docapesca, in a press release.

The company's participation in the fair is made within the scope of the CCL project – Proof of Purchase in Auction, co-financed by the PROMAR program. «The objective of CCL is to contribute to the qualitative and quantitative valuation of fish and, consequently, to the sustainability of the resources, to increase the profitability of the Fisheries sector in Portugal and the remuneration of our fishermen», revealed Docapesca.
