For Algarve deputy Miguel Freitas, "it is impossible to imagine that a cultural collection of a historical dimension such as the Cork Museum could be dispersed, leaving the municipality of Silves or even the Algarve region".
Socialist deputies reminded the Prime Minister, in their question, "the importance that this museum has for the region not only in cultural and historical terms, but also in economic terms"
