The director of the Conservatory of Music of Coimbra Manuel Pires da Rocha will be the speaker at the session «Culture is for nothing!», which the Recreational and Cultural Association of Musicians (ARCM) will promote, this Saturday, April 20th, at your headquarters in Faro.

«Professor of violin, director of the Conservatory of Music of Coimbra and Musician of Brigada Vítor Jara, Manuel Pires Rocha develops an intense civic activity that allows us to meet him, for example, at TEDx conferences talking about art education, or in movements for the Defense of Culture”, framed the ARCM in a press release.

"In the session that is proposed to us, the intention is to create a space for debate and reflection on these themes, which increasingly tend to be peripheral and secondary in the country's priority agenda," added the association.

Entry to the event, one of the activities of the «April, Days of Music and Freedom» program that the association is carrying out throughout the month, costs one euro.
