“Sustainability of the Handcrafted and Local Agroindustry” is the theme of the debate that will take place at the Professional School of Alte, on April 30th, at 18:30 pm, in an initiative of the Parish Council of Alte and with the support of the Municipality of Loulé .

The debate coordinator will be Jack Soifer, author of several books and international consultant with vast experience, having worked for North European importers. Jack Soifer has already published 42 works in four languages, such as “Algarve/Alentejo – My Love”, “The Future of Tourism” (bilingual), “Portugal Rural” and “Como Sair da Crise – Algarve/Alentejo”.

Specialized in sustainable tourism, nature and environment conservation. It is globally recognized as an authority on ecotourism and has been in demand as a consultant or jury with representatives of the World Tourism Organization and the Environment Program, both of the United Nations.

The speakers will be Alexandra Monteiro, whose “Jóia do Sul” won three international awards for best extra virgin olive oil, Antonieta Guerreiro, representative of the Portuguese Democracy Institute in the Algarve, Vítor Neto, president of NERA, in addition to the testimonies of four SMEs.

The objective of this debate is to show ways to better use the resources of the interior and, whenever possible, benefit them and even distribute them.
