The unemployment rate in Portugal rose to 16,5% in December 2012, slightly above the value observed in the previous month, which was 16,3%, and higher than the 14,6% registered a year earlier, the data reveal. today announced by Eurostat.

The official statistics office of the European Union indicates that the unemployment rate (adjusted for seasonal variations) in the euro zone remained at 11,7% in December and in the EU it also remained stable at 10,7%, for the third month consecutive in both cases.
