«Fall in love with Heritage» is the motto of the pastime that the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve launched until February 13th.
Evoking St. Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day, symbol "of the expression of love for" and as a contribution to the promotion, creation and remaking of bonds of affection with the Algarve's cultural heritage, the hobby proposes, to all interested parties, expression of his feelings about the monuments of the Algarve in a text of prose or poetry.
The prizes include two tickets of the “Monumentos do Algarve” circuit (includes a visit to the Fortress of Sagres, Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, Megalithic Monuments of Alcalar and Roman Ruins of Milreu) valid in 2013.
Publications published by the Regional Directorate of Culture will also be offered, such as the Algarve Monuments Guides, Milreu's Route, Sagres: do Mar e do Tempo, Alcalar 7: Study and Rehabilitation of a Megalithic Monument, Ninety Centuries between the Mountains and the Sea , Henrique o Infante who changed the World (exhibition catalogue) and also a pen, a pencil and an eraser from the Promontório de Sagres Line.
Regulation
1- Theme
"FALL IN LOVE WITH THE HERITAGE"
Production of a text in prose or poetry, where you express your feelings
about one or several monuments in the Algarve.
2 – Recipients
a) The competition is open to all interested parties, with no age limit.
b) DRCAlg employees are not allowed to participate in this competition.
3 – Text presentation
The text cannot have more than 1 A4 sheet, written by computer (ariel,
size 12, with 1,5 paragraphs).
4 – Reception of contest texts
The text, only one per participant, must be sent by email
to [email protected], until 15:13 pm on February XNUMXth,
duly identified with name, age and email address.
3- Winner Disclosure
The announcement of the winner of the contest will be held on February 14th at
Facebook and Blog of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.

5 – Receipt of the prize
The prize can be collected at the Fortaleza de Sagres or at the headquarters of the Management
Algarve Cultural Center – Rua Francisco Horta n.º 9, 1.º D
8000-345 Faro, in the week following the announcement of the winner, from Monday to Friday
fair (9:00-12:30 and from 14:00 to 17:30), upon presentation of
identification.
6 – Promotion of the hobby
The competition is publicized on the web/blog and facebook pages and through the
DRCAlg mailling list.
7 – Selection Group
The Selection Group will be constituted by the Director of Cultural Goods Services,
Rui Parreira, and by the superior technicians Conceição Barão and Clarinda Moutinho.
