Deputies from the PSD, including the three parliamentarians of this party elected by the Algarve, questioned the Government on whether it intends to extend the positive discrimination that the Algarve benefited from in the first phase of the Impulso Jovem program to measures that were launched more recently to promote employment among the younger ones.

At issue are two instruments launched after the initial package of measures, namely the Entrepreneurship Passport, the Industrialization Employment Passport, the Innovation Employment Passport and the Internationalization Employment Passport, launched in november and december of last year.

The Social Democratic deputies questioned the Government if it intends to "extend the scope of application of these measures in order to understand the Algarve", as it had already done with the measures initially launched.

«In a first phase, the Impulso Jovem Program excluded the Algarve from some measures launched by the Government, since the region is in a phasing-out regime and, therefore, cannot be a beneficiary of community funds that ensure the financing of the program », framed the Social Democrats.

"The Government, rightly so, acted promptly and corrected this circumstance in due time, in order to ensure the global extension of the measures provided for in the program to the region, using the State Budget allocation, namely with regard to the Employment Passport, among others,” they continued.
