The Loulé Library will see its opening hours extended and will, among other changes, also open in the afternoon, on Saturdays. A measure taken by the City Council of Loulé that will take effect as of tomorrow, February 1st, when the 25th anniversary of Loulé's rise to the status of a city is commemorated.

The winter hours of the Municipal Library of Loulé are now from 9:30 am to 19 pm from Tuesday to Friday, from 10 am to 17:30 pm on Saturday and from 14:30 pm to 19 pm on Monday.

«Taking advantage of the opening of the Library on Saturday afternoons, the children's and youth sector will provide the youngest with activities to promote reading», revealed the municipality.

Face-to-face reading and home loan of around 56 books, several hundred films on DVD and as many audio CDs and use of computers with internet access are some of the services that users can enjoy in this cultural space. «They can also have a meal or simply have a coffee at the support bar, while reading a newspaper or a magazine», suggests the Câmara de Loulé.
