The 2012 farewell will be marked in Portimão by the best music, which will set the pace for the traditional fireworks on New Year's Eve and for another edition of the unmissable Solrir Humor Festival.

From 23:00 on December 31, the Miradouro Dance Spot party with DJ Deelight starts in Praia da Rocha's viewpoint area, with the most dancing themes marking the final seconds of this year and welcoming 2013, accompanied by sky by the usual fireworks that will be launched from midnight on the riverside area of ​​Portimão and Praia da Rocha.

Since the New Year in Portimão is usually synonymous with good mood, from January 2nd to 5th, Portimão Arena will once again receive some of the greatest national comedians, in another edition of Solrir – Humor Festival, with shows always starting from 21:30 pm.

On the night of January 2, hostilities opened with “Môce dum Cabréste”, a show of music and humor with an Algarvian accent by Dário Guerreiro, poet, musician and comedian, known mainly for the videos posted on Youtube and which counts with 11 subscribers and 900 views.

This is followed by the Experimental Theater of Mexilhoeira Grande, with “A Padaria da Dona Albertina”, from the Portuguese-language magazine “É tudo flour do meme saque”, actor Carlos Pacheco with the Revista do Boa Esperança in “Vamos ao Circo” and, finally, Fernando Rocha, in a mega stand up show, anecdotes and surprises, to celebrate 13 years of his career and the launch of the book “The 100 best anecdotes of Fernando Rocha”.

For January 3rd, the proposals are António Machado with “Final Machada”, a hilarious portrait of the daily life of the Portuguese, and Commedia à la Carte, which will present “Avé Commedia full of grace”.

January 4th will bring to Portimão the renowned Eduardo Madeira, Aldo Lima, Nilton and the duo Tá na Manga, consisting of Gonçalo Jorge and Pedro Teixeira, winners of 11 international prizes for illusionism, who present something different with their show “Magia e etc. .”, where irreverence and humor merge with magic.

Solrir 2013 ends on January 5th, with João Seabra, in “The man, the woman and the mirror”, a humorous portrait that explores the differences between males and females, and also “A Curva da Felicidade” , with Vítor Espadinha, Luís Aleluia, João de Carvalho and Luís Mascarenhas, who lead a hilarious comedy to Portimão Arena in which the adventures of four men desperately trying to resist the crisis of age and looking for an apartment to live in are narrated.

Tickets are already on sale at TEMPO and in the administrative building of the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Portimão, and can also be purchased at this location on show days, with the following price: daily ticket – 7,50 euros; Family Ticket (with the purchase of 4 tickets per show/day) – 22,50 euros; ticket for holders of the Portimão Senior Passport – 5 euros.

It is always possible to complement this New Year's Eve in the city with unique experiences, such as tasting the local cuisine, visiting the Museum of Portimão or the Municipal Theatre, getting to know the Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes, discovering rural life at the Pedagogical Farm or taking a simple break promenade by the sea.
