At the height of the Christmas season, this month's Beta Talk proposes an inspiring menu, by bringing together, from 19 pm on December 00, Pedro Castro (Mercearia Bio) and Luís Caetano (Burger Ranch), who will share their experiences at Café Concerto do TEMPO – Portimão Municipal Theater, in an informal and relaxed environment.

As part of the City Day celebrations, Beta Talk brings to the conversation two local entrepreneurs who, from Portimão, gave birth to and grow their businesses, bringing together biological products and fast food at the same table, through two inspiring examples which, despite the current crisis, are booming.

With a background in hotel management, Pedro Castro had his first experience as a self-employed entrepreneur at the age of 23, later working for more than ten years in the hotel industry, with international experience in countries such as Kazakhstan, England and Brazil.

In 2007, he took risks again and gave life to Bio grocery store, which, from Portimão, takes the freshest biological products to the entire country, with the next objective being internationalization.

As for Luis Caetano, he is one of the brand's partners burger ranch, a 20 percent Portuguese restaurant chain whose success was born and grew out of two stores in Portimão XNUMX years ago.

Today, with more than 30 establishments spread across the continent and the Azores, it is a mere step away from internationalization, occupying a prominent place in the competitive fast food kitchen industry.

Free pre-registration

Participation in this Beta Talk is completely free, although registration is mandatory in http://beta-talk-dezembro.eventbrite.com, with the wine-break being up to whoever comes, so participants are invited to bring wine (or juice) and snacks to share.

Since good ideas deserve a gift, this is already guaranteed by the support of winemakers Quinta do Morgado da Torre, Herdade dos Pimentéis and Quinta da Penina, who are also examples of local entrepreneurship.

Between the two talks with the guests, and before the wine-break, there will be a Beta-Pitch Corner so that participants can present their ideas and – who knows – find clients, partners or investors.

Despite the crisis, ideas are still free and so Beta-talks continue to grow across the country and spread messages and entrepreneurial ideas, from Braga to Ponta Delgada, passing through Lisbon, Setúbal, Aveiro, Oeiras, Porto, Évora and Coimbra.

This Beta Talk has the support of ETIC-Algarve and the media partnership of Sul Informação, with the collaboration of the University of Algarve through CRIA – Algarve Regional Center for Innovation/Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer, ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region, university radio RUA FM, APGICO – Portuguese Association for Creativity and Innovation GAIM – Academic Office for Research and Marketing and also by Inesting, in addition to the Algarve Employment page in terms of dissemination.
