The movement «With Faro in the Heart” (CFC) accused PSD, PS and CDS of having promoted “the debacle” of Faro, since the current municipal executive took office in 2009. He even guaranteed that these three parties, which he calls the "bad troika" of Faro, have “committed illegalities and caused financial collapses involving amounts of around 80 million euros, through their own faults”.

«About 68 million euros of loans and disposals provided for in the initial Financial Rebalancing Plan were not carried out. On the other hand, a downfall of about 13 million euros due to new expenses and commitments without availability, ruinous management acts or without transparency, partisan cronyism and waste», considered the CFC.

For the CFC, which supported José Vitorino's candidacy for the Chamber of Faro in 2009, the inability to fit the 68 million was due to «incompetence and political-electoral games» and the City Council and Municipal Assembly should have proceeded to take out a loan in this amount and made the disposals in 2009 and 2010. «No they did so and now, only around 30 million of the PAEL are expected”, he illustrated.

Although the Chamber is led by an executive of a PSD/CDS coalition, the movement does not spare the main opposition party, the PS, which in the Municipal Assembly has the same deputies as the coalition in power and the presidency of the organ.

"In the Assembly, neither the PS nor the PSD have a majority, but there has been a combination of votes between them with disastrous effects," the movement accused in a Press Release.

“The harvest is on fire and the Municipality is sacrificed, but that money will come on the eve of the elections as they prepared and there will be fireworks. That is the bad policy», considered the CFC.
