The 12th year students of the Technological Sports Course at Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, from Faro, will participate in a maintenance action on the Via Algarviana on the 7th of November that will focus on sections that were affected by the fires that ravaged the Serra do Caldeirão in the summer.

Students from the Farense school will join an Almargem initiative «in the maintenance work (replacement of signs) in the areas of Barranco do Velho, Parizes, Castelão, Medronheira and Cachopo», revealed those responsible for the course in a statement.

«This action is part of ES Pinheiro e Rosa's effort to promote greater interaction between the School and the communities and to develop the learning of students in a real context», they add.

«Students of the Technological Sports Course, (who, when they finish their training, will be qualified in the area of dynamization of sports physical activities and in the management and maintenance of facilities), have been, throughout their training, implementing various activities in a school context (organization of tournaments, competitions and seminars) and thus have an opportunity to learn about the region's potential in the field of outdoor physical activity», the statement also reads.
