Silves will host on October 24th the fourth in a series of Crime Prevention Seminars aimed at the foreign community in the Algarve, which aim to promote safer communities through crime prevention. The initiative will take place at the Silves Library, between 16 pm and 18 pm.

«The event will feature presentations by Mr. Capitão Bailote, GNR Commander in Silves, a territorial area that covers Silves, Lagoa, Armação de Pêra, Carvoeiro and Messines, as well as by Mr. Capitão Henriques, GNR Commander in Albufeira (Albufeira, Olhos D'Água and Paderne). Representatives of the Night Guards Service, the British Consulate and Safe Communities Algarve will also be present”, revealed the organisation, in charge of the latter entity.

This will be an opportunity for those who live in these areas, or who have missed previous events, to learn more about crime prevention and the work of these organizations. The GNR's Safe Residency Program team will also be available for those who wish to join the Program.

The organization says it will be the first time that these organizations and presenters have come together in a single event to share their experiences with the audience and provide a unique opportunity to ask questions and answers about matters of interest to the audience. More information about this initiative can be found on the Safe Communities Algarve website.
