Sérgio Godinho's music will be the central figure in a multidisciplinary illustration exhibition that will be on display at the Silves Library from November 1st to 30th. The exhibition «Sérgio Godinho and the 40 illustrations» results from the homonymous work published by the publisher Abysmo, to mark the 40 years of the Portuguese musician's career and will be presented by João Paulo Cotrim, who coordinated the edition of the book, on November 10 at 16:30 pm.

The exhibition arises from a challenge launched to 40 nationally renowned illustrators – such as José Brandão, Henrique Cayatte, Catarina Valadas, Gémeo Luís, João Maio Pinto, Pedro Nora, Pedro Proença, Teresa Lima, João Fazenda, André Carrilho, among others – to iconographically reinvent and summarize 40 songs selected by the musician. This challenge and the joining of artists from various generations, from different origins and styles, resulted in the book, now transformed into an exhibition, with fine art prints from different interpretations and which can be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 19:30 pm and on Mondays and Saturdays from 14 pm to 19:30 pm.

«Os Survivors» (1971), «Mutual Consent» (2011), «Lisbon that dawns», «Etelvina», «Balad da Rita», «Find me a job», «With a sparkle in his eyes», «The elixir of eternal youth", "On consecutive days" and "Breath of the heart" (written by Sérgio Godinho for the Clã) are some of the illustrated songs.
