This afternoon, the Regional Tourism Authority of the Algarve (ERTA) will elect its new direction, with the mayor of Albufeira Desidério Silva being elected as president, as he leads the only list to suffrage. The General Assembly, which will elect the new direction of ERTA as well as the AG table, is scheduled for 15 pm, at the institution's headquarters, in Faro.

A presented list by Desidério Silva also includes, as No. 2, Duarte Padinha, director of the Algarve Tourism Marketing Department, followed by Eliseu Grazina Correia (from the incoming agency EC Travel), Carlos Luís (CEAL president), Ricardo Madeira Cipriano ( Castro Marim & Golfe Country Club), as effective members, and also substitutes João Paulo Oliveira and Sousa, Marina Leal Correia, José Lourenço dos Santos and Ana Maria da Graça Rosa.

Also for the Board of the General Meeting fhi presented a single list, led by João Rosado (president of ACRAL), followed by Daniel Nobre Sousa and Laurentino Sousa de Almeida.

Representatives of 32 entities have voting power, including the 16 Algarve municipalities, associations linked to the various sectors of tourism, public entities and deconcentrated State administration, union structures, as well as the School of Hotel and Tourism and the University of the Algarve.
