The swearing-in ceremony of the new Board of the General Assembly and Directorate of Tourism of the Algarve, which will be chaired by João Rosado and Desidério Silva, respectively, is scheduled for next Friday, November 2, at 16 pm , in the auditorium of the headquarters building of this entity, on Avenida 00 de Outubro, in Faro.
Desidério Silva was elected president of the Regional Tourism Authority of the Algarve on the 22nd of last month, thus succeeding António Pina in his post.
A election of new president did not meet consensus, since he received five votes against and seven blank, as opposed to 18 in favour. After the General Electoral Assembly at ERTA headquarters, in Faro, Desiderius considered that this happened because his list was “not political”.
