For the fourth consecutive year, the Parish Council of Portimão will offer school material to all students in the 1st year of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education in the public school system in this parish.
The delivery of the material, which is intended, according to Ana Figueiredo, president of the Parish Council, to "minimize the burden on families", will be carried out in the 1st Cycle schools on the opening day of the school year.
The mayor stresses that the measure is justified "in times of crisis", when "the purchase of school materials weighs on the family budget, at the start of another school year".
