Students from Basic Schools in Sagres, Vila do Bispo, Budens and Salema have already received school manuals free of charge, given by the Municipality of Vila do Bispo.
This measure covers 190 students from the municipality's Schools Group.
This is the first year that the municipality has offered school books to first cycle students. In addition to this support, it will also provide support for meals in levels A and B.
In terms of educational support, the municipality will allocate 25 euros per child for the 1st cycle classrooms and 50 euros per child for the pre-school classrooms.
The EB 2,3 School Resource Center in São Vicente de Vila do Bispo will receive an amount of 3.000 euros.
In pre-school, the City Council will ensure the family support component, where children will enjoy psychomotor classes, swimming and world dances.
This measure of great social impact represents a considerable contribution for families living with more difficulties. This action allows them to save money at the start of another school year, 2012/13.
