«The house and rural hills: the popular architecture of the Algarve» is the theme of the free course scheduled for Sundays 14, 21 and 28 October, promoted by AGECAL (Association of Cultural Managers of the Algarve).

The formation whose main objective is to contribute to the interpretation of the Algarve's popular architecture, in its interdependencies with the resources of places and the various occupations and organizations in the territory.

Algarve, landscape units and ways of living, From settlement and property regimes to housing construction, The Algarve rural house: organization, units, private and shared spaces, associated elements, Inhabitants, masters and builders, Discourses on architecture traditional Algarve and The rural house of today: new uses and dwellings? These are the subjects of the course.

The target audience is cultural managers, students of courses in Cultural Heritage, Architecture, Archeology and History, professionals and researchers of culture and heritage.

The course, which will take place in Faro (AGECAL meeting room) and other places in a rural context integrated in the field training, will have a duration of nine hours, taking place on Sundays, from 15 pm to 18 pm.

Registration costs 60 euros, or 50 for AGECAL members.
