Portimonense suffered another defeat for the II Liga championship, yesterday, Saturday, at Trofa and continues without adding points in the 2012/13 edition of the competition. On the second round, the team from Portimão lost to Trofense by 2-1, a result achieved in the first half.
The home team opened the scoring after seven minutes, through Semedo. In the 38th minute, Gomis extended Trofense's lead to 2-0, an advantage that did not reach the break, as Mendes reduced it from the penalty spot, committed over Horácio.
Portimonense was still behind the draw and was close several times, but the result with which the first half ended remained until the end.
