Joana Amendoeira, Fernando Tordo, Rita Gordo, Rodrigo, Filipa Cardoso, Duarte set the tone for fado, while some of the best Portuguese wines are sampled, with the Ria de Alvor as the backdrop.
This is the motto for the Wine & Fado festival, which combines wine with fado in the riverside area of Alvor, resulting in a very well spent night.
From tomorrow, the 24th, until the 1st of September, from 19:00 pm to 01:00 am, take the opportunity to taste the best Portuguese wines and listen to the fados of our history.
The festival features resident fadistas Pedro Viola, Sara Gonçalves, Luís Caeiro and Teresa Viola, accompanied by Pedro Amendoeira on Portuguese guitar and Carlos Garcia “Cajé” on viola.
Admission costs 10 euros, including a glass and a voucher for a wine tasting.
