Almost a hundred people watched the puppet theater with the play by the Algarve António Aleixo, “Auto do Curandeiro”, in a session that took place on Tuesday night, in the village of Pereiro (Alcoutim).

The play was performed by the retired doctor, Dr. José Pepo, who with his Alentejo accent and his simplicity and spontaneity, captured the attention and sympathy of the people of Pereira.

The second part of the show, which was supposed to be a classical accordion concert, gave rise to an old-fashioned accordion ball that lasted until long and was reminiscent of “the old days”.

Dr. José Pepo, on a voluntary basis, at the invitation of the municipality of Alcoutim, will continue his tour of the various towns in the county.
