Dance and Theater will merge on stage at the Centro Cultural de Lagos on August 31st and September 1st, in the show «See the World through the Window», a creation by Sofia Brito, which will be accompanied by pianist Rita Nunes. On the last day of this month, at 21 pm, there will be a session for the general public, while the following day the session is dedicated to families, starting at 30 pm.

This multidisciplinary show of contemporary dance and theater takes us “to travel through the dreams, fears and aspirations of different women”, according to a statement from the Câmara de Lagos. «Travels that are not directly connected to each other, as if they were paintings. Strolling across the border between theater and dance, this creation explores different relationships between text, movement and music», adds the municipality.

«Through the window we can look at the world in the comfort and security of what we know. The windows are and always will be the eyes of the house, and it is through the eyes that the soul can be read. Behind each window hides a unique and enigmatic universe. This show came from a research on the intimacy hidden from the eyes of the world, the prisoner and voiceless interiority», describes, for her part, the choreographer and dancer Sofia Brito

According to the show's creator, at the September 1 session, families who attend will be presented with "a magnificent way to discover the sounds of acoustic music." After the show, the public will be able to take this exercise further, in a creative workshop for parents and children taking place in the same place, open to children over 2 years old, accompanied by their parents.

Tickets for the 31st have a value of €5 and for the 01st of September are €10 (per family).
