Throughout this summer, Portimão offers multiple attractive proposals, from the emotions of sport to cultural events, with emphasis on a series of unmissable shows, aimed at everyone.
This month of July will be characterized by two unique moments, the first of which between the 27th and 29th of July, when the beach at Praia da Rocha receives another edition of the Beach Soccer Mundialito, with the most gifted players on the planet, motto for the concert by Ivete Sangalo, which on the 28th will ensure that no one will be able to keep their feet on the ground for a long time at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão.
When it comes to sports, the Praia da Rocha Sports Area opens its space to the practice of numerous sports, so that everyone can maintain good physical shape throughout the summer.
Also in July, three events, as distinct as they are attractive, will debut for some time: first, the exhibition “O Mundo dos Dinossauros”, on display at Portimão Arena between the 11th of the current and the 9th of September; then, the priceless show “mendes-come”, in which Fernando Mendes celebrates 30 years of a career full of successes and immense laughter, which can be seen in the Grand Auditorium of TEMPO between the 26th of this month and the 26th of August; finally, the Meo Spot Summer Sessions, will bring together glamour, refinement and fun on the beach at Praia da Rocha.
Dimitri From Paris, Gui Boratto, MC Virgul (of Nu Soul Family), Riot and MC Blaya (of Buraka Som Sistema) or Mastiksoul, are some of the many names that between July 27th and August 25th guarantee music and rhythm for all likes.
August begins with one of the most unavoidable gastronomic events in the country, in the form of an event, the Sardine Festival, which returns to the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Portimão between the 3rd and the 11th.
One of the novelties this year is the daily stop “Há Sardinha no Cais”, in charge of the Chapitô group, which tells the story of the canning industry around the banks of the Arade river, on a route where the siren whistle of the former Feu factory will be the starting point for a trip that no one will want to miss.
In the event where sardines will be queen, there will be lots of music, handicrafts, gastronomy, fado, humor, street theater and fantasy shows, all of which are double reasons for a mandatory visit with the family.

Still this month, there are three musical proposals of great quality, from the concert “Promenade/Opart” with conductor António Vitorino de Almeida, scheduled for the 17th, to the “Pink Floyd Live Tribute” the following day, and ending in beauty with the show “Tony Carreira ao Vivo in Portimão” on the 18th, always in the Fairs and Exhibitions Park.
In September, a reference to the show “Carlos do Carmo sings Ary dos Santos”, scheduled for the 14th in TEMPO, as well as to the World Superbikes Championship, which on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd will attract all attention to the Autodrome.
Throughout this period, there will be several cultural proposals, such as the exhibitions on display at the Museu de Portimão or at the Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes, a cuisine that combines the best flavors of land and sea, beaches with warm waters and fine sand and everything the most that Portimão offers for unique and unforgettable summer days.
