It won't be a white wedding, as both players are already well beaten in these wanderings, but the union between Billy Idol and the Motoclube de Motoclube International Motorcycle Concentration Faro promises to be very lively and irreverent.

Bikers are already arriving in force in the Algarve capital to participate in the 31st edition of the Concentration, which takes place from today, Thursday and until Sunday at Vale das Almas, next to the Airport of Faro.

For many, the weekend of motorcycles in Faro it has already started and they found everything ready to receive them, in the precincts of the party. "This year, we've prepared to receive 22 entries," he told the Sul Informação the president of the Motoclube of Faro Jose Amaro. Fewer people than a year ago, when the 30th anniversary of the event was celebrated, but a normal number when it comes to other editions.

To do the Concentration of Faro, only motorcyclists are needed, since, as José Amaro likes to point out, this party is above all a gathering place for those who love motorcycles and make motorcycling a way of life. But that is not why the musical aspect is neglected.

The iconic Billy Idol heads a poster that also features the band GNR, which celebrates 30 years, the Portuguese band Aurea and Apocalyptica, a band that became known for playing music by Metallica on cello, War Cry, Rebeldes, Miss Lava, Noidz and M'vula.

José Amaro foresees great animation at the concert by Billy Idol, author of songs such as «Dancing with Myself», «White Wedding» and «Eyes Without a Face». "He is also a great motorcyclist," he assured.

Other highlights of the event are the final parade, in which motorcyclists say goodbye to the city with a ticket in Baixa de Faro and the inevitable Miss Wet T-shirt contest. Another highlight is the 21st edition of the Bike Show, the builders' competition of the Concentration of Faro, which this year will not count as a qualifying stage for the constructors' World Cup, in the United States of America, but which "will have the same quality as always".
