In a statement of only three points, where they do not require any specific action from the municipal executive, other than the political assessment of the situation, the BE/Faro even so, he did not fail to criticize Macário Correia's mode of action over the nearly three years he has been leading the Faro local authority.
Defending that the situation demonstrates the "need for close inspection of the performance of municipal executives by the Municipal Assembly", the block says that "the current practice of President Macário Correia, with the implicit support of the Socialist Party bench and the President of the Assembly Luís Coelho, has made this task of inspection and control difficult».
"Namely, the strict compliance with the legal deadlines when sending documents to elected representatives makes it almost impossible to study them carefully, as Municipal Assemblies in which the number of items on the agenda is less than fifteen are rare", accused the BE/Faro.
The Blocists took the opportunity to affirm "that strict respect for the legality expressed in the Municipal Master Plans, in the Regional Land Use Plans, in the National Agricultural and Ecological Reserves is essential to preserve territorial planning and to defend irreplaceable public goods such as agricultural land and environmental values'.
