The magazine «Sábado» elected the restaurant «Ocean», at Vila Vita Parc, as one of the best in Portugal in 2010 and 2011.
The jury, consisting of Chefs Ljubomir Stanisic, José Cordeiro (1 Michelin star) and Rui Paula, distinguished the “remarkable gastronomic quality” of Ocean, which received its second Michelin star in November 2011.
Inaugurated in 2007 by the hand of the young Austrian Chef Hans Neuner, the Ocean won its first Michelin star soon after, in 2009.
More recently, Hans Neuner was named Chef of the Year by the Escape guide, Boa Cama Boa Mesa, by the newspaper «Expresso».
With a “simple” but very Mediterranean style, the Ocean favors regional and national products, especially fish and seafood from the Algarve coast.
