The Music and Dance Cycle of the East-West World arrives in Lagos on the last weekend of June, to introduce instruments, sounds and exotic dances, which are as fascinating as they are different.

At the end of this month, the Centro Cultural de Lagos offers two themed nights featuring traditional Egyptian and Argentinean music and dance.

The shows by Sunqur Sa Di Ensemble (Egypt), on the 29th, and La Porteña Tango (Argentina), on the 30th, will be on stage at CCL at 21:30 pm.

The differences between Eastern and Western cultures are numerous. In the West, you dance with your feet and body in a harmonious but rigid way, in the East you dance with the whole body, including shoulders, eyes, mouth, tapping your feet and hands as in Indian and Chinese dances.

The cultured music of the West is soft, in the East it is strident. These are just some notorious and curious differences between both cultures.

This East-West duality is precisely the starting point of this Cycle, of two themed nights, which aims to make known instruments, sounds and dances that are so fascinating, but at the same time so different.

The organization of the event, which has the support of the local authority, is by Ibérica Eventos & Espetáculos. Tickets cost 10 euros (single price) and can be purchased at the Centro Cultural de Lagos (reservations call 282 770 450).
