The Convento de S. José, in Lagoa, will be the setting, between 18 and 25 July, of another edition of the Mostra do Doce Conventual, created ten years ago.

This year, the Mostra has a foreign presence, for the first time – a representation of the convents of Seville (Spain).

In a genuinely conventual atmosphere, recreated by the Cultural Services of the Lagoa City Council, the Exhibition takes place over five days, during which it is possible to taste cakes, jams, honey, caramelized dried fruits, medronho, Algarve wines (Adega Única and Quinta dos Vales , both from Lagoa), ginjinha in a chocolate cup and delicious fresh or hot tea.

The program of the exhibition also includes an exhibition of Bilros lace from Peniche (live work), a documentary exhibition on heritage and archeology, called "Lagoa com all senses", another exhibition on History and Legends "Memories of a Convent", presence in the convent sweets and related sectors, such as Quinta dos Avós, Casa Isabel, Bolos & Vitamins, Campidoce and representation of Seville Convents.

The musical entertainment will be in charge of José Malhoa (18th), Micas Cabral (19th), Lucky Duckies (20th), Quina Barreiros (21st) and Micaela (22nd), always starting at 22:30.
