Jazz is once again featured on Sunday, at the end of the day, at Cantaloupe Café, very close to the Ria Formosa, in Olhão. The establishment located in the Mercados de Olhão complex once again promotes the «Domingos ao Pôr-do-Sol» cycle, with weekly concerts until the end of July. The first is on June 24th, with Zé Francesa and Luciano Martins.

All concerts in this cycle, which takes place in 2012 for the fifth consecutive time, start at 18 pm, always with free admission. In addition to the music, you can enjoy the proximity of the Ria Formosa, as the café is just a few meters from this natural beauty of Portugal and, of course, from the typical Olhão Markets.

In July, right on the 1st, the cycle continues with the closing concert of the Vocal Workshop of the Associação Grémio das Músicas (AGM), under the responsibility of Fátima Serro. The workshop participants will be accompanied by the trio of pianist Paulo Gomes, who has Zé Eduardo on double bass and Sónia “little b” Cabrita on drums.

These last two performers return a week later for a new concert, this time as part of the Zé Eduardo Trio, which also features Marco Martins on the bass. The trio will perform with Fernando Girão, on July 8th.

On July 15, another trio will act, composed by Olivier Poumay (harmonic), Vincent Romain (guitar) and Hugo Santos (double bass). On June 22 it will be the turn of the closing concert of the AGM Combos, with the presentation of the works of students from the association's courses directed by Zé Eduardo.

The cycle ends on July 29 with Pedro Madeira Trio, a project that comes from Lisbon and brings together musicians Pedro Madeira (drums), André Rosinha (double bass) and Pedro Nobre (piano).
